Specialist shipping, insurance and energy publisher Witherby knew that time was almost up for its outdated Microsoft Commerce Centre sites.
As one ecommerce chapter closed, Witherby were ready to start a new one with Magento but they needed a partner that could read between the lines and deliver a seamless migration.
Not being open source, Witherby’s existing platform was inflexible with a restricted infrastructure, meaning any alterations were expensive and required lengthy testing to ensure compatibility.
Convinced that the e-Commerce opportunities provided by Magento were far superior, Witherby were concerned about the complexity of migrating data to a new platform.
The challenge was on to find an expert Magento partner to rebuild the current e-Commerce websites on a new platform with effective data migration and back office integration.
A complex data migration was performed from Witherby’s bespoke ERP/CRM system into the new sites, recreating the familiar corporate identity they wished to retain, but with all the flexibility offered by the Magento platform.
