Still run by the Slater family, Slaters Menswear offers all the clothing a man could need online and in its 23 stores nationwide.
They’ve also been accredited by the Guinness Book of Records as having the largest single menswear store in the world.
Menswear retailer Slaters had optimised their site for peak Christmas trading, but one aspect was preventing them from delivering a seamless shopping experience for their customers.
The Worldpay extension on their checkout was redirecting shoppers to a hosted payment page that lacked credibility, resulting in poor conversion and high dropout rates.
Worldpay had provided alternative coding for the checkout page that would resolve the issue but there were no alternative plugins available to implement this.
We created an iframe popup module utilising the Worldpay coding, which allowed us to tailor the checkout to fit with the Slaters site and reduce customer confusion.
This meant that, although customers were technically still transacting through the secure Worldpay payment gateway to ensure PCI compliance, the page itself displayed the Slaters URL, giving customers confidence that they were still on the official site.
